God’s silence

Love For Myanmar Ministries Update

Christ Centered, Servant Hearted, Myanmar Focused

“The eyes see not the truth so fair, but what the heart believes is there. So teach the heart the ways above, so eyes can see all things through love.” (1 Corinthians 2:9)

Christianity is the outstretched hand of God reaching out to the spiritually lonely in the hope of reaching into their souls with His unconditional love. To God, you are not invisible or misunderstood. He knows all of our private failures, our feelings of emptiness, and our anxieties about all of the unknowns.

Each of us in our own way inquires into the insight of the key to a fulfilling life. More than likely, most of those conversations are with ourselves, inner investigations into what a meaningful life should look like. As we try to excavate the truth beneath a meaningful life, some of us discover that the deeper we go, the simpler the answer to what the soul, the mind, and the heart need most; love. The real work of Christianity is to make the simplicity and warmth of Divine-centered love a home inside people that radiates the meaning of a fulfilled life.

Unfortunately, God’s silence during our stretches of suffering preys on the weakest parts of human nature. When our prayers or questions are unanswered, we wonder if God cares. Some of us feel abandoned while others believe they are being punished. Many just walk away in anger with God, never considering what God is doing in their waiting.

No small part of a Christian’s life is believing that God’s silence doesn’t mean He is absent, He is just quietly at work for your good. Don’t let the silence erase your memory of His love for you.

Please pray that our ministry will continue to improve the understanding of the scriptures among the believers in our care, and their love for the Lord will inspire others to connect to His hope.
