Love for Myanmar does not share any personal information with other individuals or organizations. We are a 501(c)3 organization. All donations are tax deductible.

The Austin Karen Baptist Church congregation gathers at the Skyview Ministry Center on Sunday afternoons. Several congregations share this space, each paying rent to the Austin Baptist Association who owns the property and manages the ministry center.

The combination of the pandemic and military coup in Myanmar has created an economic crisis resulting in millions of lost jobs and the inability to afford basic food supplies. As a result, we have developed the “Blessed And Giving” or BAG food distribution program to help meet the food supplies needs of the over 1,000 families within our ministry’s reach. As a result of bulk purchasing, we can provide a BAG of basic food supplies for a typically-sized Myanmar family for one month for $25.

Each children’s home receives the set of services described below. Love for Myanmar does not offer sponsorships for individual children.

There is a high value placed on education in Myanmar. However, the education system has long been stagnant, suffering from a critical lack of resources and skills. When we started our ministry in 2005, families had to pay an annual education fee, buy school uniforms and school supplies to attend school. As a result, Myanmar families could not afford to educate their children.

The list below provides examples of the needs of the leprosy hospital in Mawlamyine, Mon State. Because conditions can change, priorities can also change.

Many of the children of leprosy parents do NOT have leprosy themselves. They suffer from rejection and poverty because of leprosy, however. The children are ignored and snubbed at school.
