“THANKS”giving

Love For Myanmar Ministries Update

Christ Centered, Servant Hearted, Myanmar Focused

“When we come to the end of ourselves, we come to the beginning of God.” Billy Graham

“Thanks” is not a word to be used carelessly, but caringly to magnify those glimmers of kindness we too often neglect. Contributions, donations, gifts or whatever term we use, serve as a lifeline to a need from someone who understands the measure of its despair, as well as the value of their sacrifice to help soften it. The power of cheerful generosity to turn “paper and coins” into beautifully sculpted spirits of optimism is a matchless experience.

It is a wonder how someone’s curiosity about a need can eventually form into an act of love, an instrument of God’s mercy gently grasping a need as their very own. Gratitude is the true engine of thoughtful generosity, an inner recognition of the importance to share our blessings with those who are struggling.

Thankfulness is about connection, where the spirit of generosity meets the tenderness of a kind experience. It is through the gates of genuine gratitude that our souls can experience the sweetness of heart-felt charity. Even though personal hardships can keep coming, gnawing at our hearts, they must not be allowed to keep us from responding to the hurts of others.

Before the close of this time of “THANKS”giving, we encourage you to take the time to express your appreciation to everyone who has taken their time to brighten your path towards a more joyful year. Allow us to start by sharing how profoundly humbled we are at Love for Myanmar for the financial gifts we have received throughout this year. We are thankful for our donors’ willingness to join God in the intensely difficult battles to help build His kingdom in the predominantly Buddhist country of Myanmar.

One of the most extraordinary lessons of life becomes learning that during our deepest troubles those who do not seclude themselves in their own sorrow but compel themselves to comfort, nourish, and strengthen others in their times of despair, find the wonder of inner joy. Does anyone ever forget an act of kindness they have experienced? Well then…

“Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7
