Summer Hiatus!

It is amazing how quickly the summer can scoot on by!  Forgive our short hiatus from blogging as we’ve had much on our plate in transition and mission but we’re back now and ready to share!

Our summer mission to Myanmar took place in July with a delegation of representatives from central Texas and the northeastern part of the US. In addition, we had people join us from within country for an amazing effort and outreach to our friends in Myanmar. it was a blessed event in numerous ways. The emphasis of this particular mission effort was to look at some prospective projects for LoveForMyanmar and to connect again with a few of our existing projects. The team was immensely impacted by a particular stop at a Leprosy Hospital where team members were able to share in activities with the patients. It was a humbling and inspiring occurrence.

Over the course of the summer the Board of Directors met to discuss matters of business and continually discern the direction and momentum of LoveForMyanmar.org. This meeting proved to be fruitful as consideration is given to the many opportunities that lie ahead. Positive steps are being made in our relationship with the government of Myanmar which opens up a whole new realm of possibilities in how LFM serves in country.

We are very excited and determined to remain vibrant and relevant as an organization that provides support for our friends of Myanmar, both here and abroad. Join us through participating on a mission trip, donation of resources of time or money, or through prayers as our efforts are truly making a difference!
